BSc (Hons) 2012

Getting an A+ in FSc Pre-Engineering, LUMS could see that Fozan Fareed had an aptitude to do great things. LUMS saw the achiever in him. From a humble background in Bahawalpur and completing his Intermediate from Sadiq Public School there, Fozan worked hard to earn a chance at getting into LUMS.
That opportunity to acquire a LUMS BSc (Hons) in Economics and Mathematics turned his life around for the better. Fozan was on a mission to succeed and get ahead in life with the expertise he had learned from one of the region’s best institutions.
“The four-year degree at LUMS equipped me with the necessary skills to grow in any scenario,” said Fozan, who hails from Fort Abbas, a small town in South Punjab, “It polished my research skills and provided me with the opportunity to work with various NGOs through their internship programmes.”
After LUMS, Fozan worked with a renewed motivation in the development sector to help others passionately.  It was with FINCA International, one of the biggest microfinance providers years in polishing his characteristics further.
“The LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) scholarship provided me with the opportunity to study in the most prestigious university of Pakistan. This instilled a strong academic foundation in me which I utilise to this day,” added Fozan.
All that hard work has continued to pay off, as now, Fozan is on his way to complete his Master’s and PhD degree in France. In 2015, he was awarded a fully funded scholarship by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and has enrolled in the Master’s programme for Development Economics and International Project Management, at University of Paris.
